Air cooling and air conditioning

When the temperatures soar, our cabin air cooling system can help make your night’s sleep a little more comfortable. Air cooling uses canal/river water to produce cool air which is blown out through vents.

Please note: This is not the same as air-conditioning which can achieve lower temperatures and has a thermostatic control. Performance significantly reduces if canal/river temperature is too high.

The boat was well maintained, very comfortable, and exceptionally well designed for the rental market. It was basically a floating hotel room with all the normal amenities! Perfect set up for a couple, and the bow and stern thrusters rocked.

We had a very minor malfunction and they responded in a timely and appropriate manner. Wonderful clean design. Loved the Bimini and thrusters. The boat tends to wander off course and could do with a larger keel or bilge strakes

The Horizon was a terrific boat for our vacation. Very comfortable and great for exploring the Rideau waterways. We had everything we needed for a lovely cruise. The boat was very clean and well equipped. Sandy was great at getting us oriented and on our way in no time. The Horizon 2 was perfect for our needs. Having 2 cabins made it more comfortable. The kitchen was great and we made some simple but delicious meals. We were unsuccessful at getting the grill on the fly deck to work. Not sure if there was too much wind but it would have been fun to use it. The beds were very comfortable (and my wife is very picky). The addition of the clip-on fans was great. My last comment is that the boats should have names! Not numbers. Our boat was number 42, but we decided it should be named “Thanks For All The Fish.”

Great service and help from both the office staff and the dock crew in Smith Falls. Thanks everyone! We had a great time at all the friendly towns we stopped at along the way. Especially Merritville, Westport and Perth.

I was looking for a late summer get-away for our family of 4 [16- and 20-year old kids]. I had come across LeBoat in a magazine and it looked interesting. Our expectations were exceeded every step of the way. The size of boat we wanted initially wasn't available so I called to see what could be done. Not only did they get the boat that we wanted, they threw in early departure. Check-in could not have gone more smoothly. We were greeted in a friendly manner and felt very welcomed. Once we got to the boat, Sterling could not have been more helpful. Within an hour, he had gone over the whole boat, given excellent advice on what to do and where to do, reviewed the charts that we would need to plan each day's travel, and shown us how to drive the boat - we had very limited boat experience. He even fielded a call later that evening when we weren't close enough to the power plug - our LeBoat neighbors [from Norway!] came to the rescue and offered to let us use theirs. The boat was equipped with everything that we needed. We felt that there was enough space where we didn't get on each other's nerves. We felt safe at night sleeping. Going through the locks was such an educational experience - it really gave us all an appreciation of the engineering marvels and the hard work that goes into keeping them operational. It was really was a great vacation and we can't wait to do it again!
