this was our 3rd cruise with le Boat, and we love the freedom of cruising on our own time and experience the place, food and people of place that we might not have visit if taking a conventional trip.
Great experience - already planning next rip for 2019
Our experience with LeBoat was great. We would definitely recommend them and will rent from them again. The only thing I recommend is that they improve on is their website. There is not enough details regarding the itinerary. It should be more clear that they will provide a detailed map but the itinerary is more up to the client. From the website we thought we were signing up for a specific route. Once we got there they were very helpful on helping us pick our route but we would have liked to do more research ahead of time. They should also advise clients to avoid the grand canal. The boats are too small to be on the grand canal with the barges. Kind of scary!
Great spot to start the canal cruise. Marina is clean and well equiped
The boat had been severely damaged on an earlier charter. We only learned this upon boarding the boat and seeing the damage. A substitute boat was not available. We had expected some sun protection from a Bimini but it had been torn off in the prior charterer's misuse. Boat also leaked power steering fluid which made for a slippery deck. The "orientation" of the cruising area consisted of an unmarked map which was remedied when we inquired about the lack of detail which other groups were receiving. Sadly, the guide book was not provided in English, an oversight we did not notice until we were underway.
The base was not empowered to address the issues of the broken boat and we were advised to contact customer service upon our return. Not the best send off for our one week rental.

A full complaint has been filed to the Vinkeveen office.Briefly:Lack of information on which canals the Vision 4 was able to navigate despite MANY attempts prior to the booking to get a cruise plan. Unable to plug onto shore power/Overcharged on Diesel useLack of equipment on board – Bimini top missing TVs and DVD’s did not workAll four gas bottles were empty!!
