Reviews for the The Little Thames Short Break

Le Boat AU was easy to deal with. They were quick to respond to questions and kept us up to date with info before our tour.
The staff at Chertsey were excellent. We received an upgrade to our boat due to unforeseen circumstances. Pre boating run training was thorough and we felt comfortable to start our journey.

We also had excellent weather that week which also helps
Well up to expectations
As Above
The boat that we booked was a Countess but I was informed the day before we arrived that we had been uprated to a Caprice. In fact the countess was broken down. The outside steering position of the Caprice did not work and we were told that it could not be fixed until the Tuesday. No alternative vessel was available. In the end your engineer was able to change the controls on Sunday afternoon which won him personally our thanks but did not reflect well on the management who were nowhere to be seen.
This cruise was a great success. This was due entirely to the efforts of your engineer in changing the outside steering equipment on Sunday afternoon.

Hi Andrew,Thank you for your feedback. Your opinions are very important. We are sorry to hear about the disappointment you experienced with your boat. We have taken action on the matter to get these issues resolved. Thankfully, feedback such as this is rare, but we are very sorry for disappointment.Best regards,The Le Boat team
Boat was poorly maintained. Shower heads needed cleaning and in one shower the cold water tap did not work resulting in scalding showers. One toilet gave up completely and another did not flush properly. We had to have the mechanics three times before a reasonable solution was achieved.
It was very difficult to find suitable moorings without having to pay what we thought were outrageous fees. £12 to moor with nothing but a piece of bank when in France you can put your stakes in anywhere. So much of the river was private and we were not warned about this. We tried the riverbanks a few times but went aground as there was not enough water depth and with no gangplank it was not suitable to have long mooring lines.

Hi Shirley, Thank you for your feedback, we are truly sorry this was not explained during your boat induction and briefing - it certainly should have been. We have passed this on to the Chertsey base team to ensure that they do outline this to future clients.Kind regards, Le Boat Australia
