Return Trip: Nieuwpoort, via Ieper & Brugge
Allow 7 to 14 nights
Golden beaches, upscale dining, and chic shopping await you, and yet World War I guns still seem to roar at Ypres.
Reviews for the The Peace Cruise
Boating is always fun and the weather was perfect. Being able to visit Bruges, Ghent and Ypres from the water was great and made a nice change.
The moorings in Bruges are very good and were perhaps the best part of the holiday.
The landscape between Deinze and Gent is wonderful.
We changed our trip and visit also Veurne, it's really worth seeing!
This was our third LeBoat cruise. While the canal itself primarily went through flat farmfields, it was the cities that captured our attention, especially Ieper, Diksmuide and Bruges. We were on a Scouting trip with a focus on Canadian World War sites so really appreciated travelling a canal that was the front in WW1 and the land of the In Flanders Fields poem by John McCrae
