We were so happy that we used Leboat for our French canal boat trip. From start to finish they made our vacation great. The booking and payment process was clear and easy to follow. Check in was a nice experience and our week aboard the Royal Classique was wonderful as the boat was clean and easy to operate and the scenery beautiful. Check out was surprisingly quick and efficient. All Leboat employees were fantastic! Thank you Leboat Team! Tawny and Scott We were so happy that we used Leboat for our French canal boat trip. Boat great. Fuel charge was very expensive . The engine probably used no more than 4 ltrs/ hour yet we we charges over 10 euros for one hour engine run. Be aware of this hidden charge when hiring a boat. Could not fault the boat . Only problem we found was that the shore power hot water heater did not work although it was switched on We had to run the engine for 1 hour which cost 10.79 euro at Le Boat rates so that we could all have showers...
Dear Derek, Thanks for your feedback and we're really glad that you were happy with your boat. We do try to be clear about any costs so it’s disappointing that these were more than you expected. We have very much taken on board your feedback and if there is anything further we can help with, please feel free to contact [email protected] All the best, The Le Boat Team

Great service before, at the start, along the way and at the end. We had a complex booking because we were sharing the boat with a couple from Australia and each paid half. We went through a number of changes and additions. Le Boat was always prompt, courteous and professional in handling everything. Le Boat was thorough and competent in checking us into the boat. The operating demonstration was thorough but not overly long. We noticed that our fridge wasn't working properly. We stopped at Le Boat in Trebes. They diagnosed weak batteries and replaced them within an hour. Fridge was perfect after that. You have to spend the last night in Castelnaudary at the Le Boat docks since you can't get through the locks by the deadline to check the boat in. But that is a lovely facility within easy walking distance to restaurants and attractions. All in all - A-1 Not the newest boat but very comfortable and well equipped. The 3 ensuite staterooms gave everybody enough privacy. Like all canal boats, it is flat bottomed which makes it a bit tricky to steer. But you get used to it. Just be patient in the beginning.

Good throughout and we had to change to the Decize base at the last moment due to heavy rains closing the Lot, our preferred cruising area. Team were able to get us another boat at short notice. We don't think we will cruise that area of central France (Decize/Migennes) again due to the slow manual lock system and some very dirty and weed laden canals especially on the Canal de Bourgogne. On one occasion we had to wait over two hours for the lock keeper to arrive. A good large boat with plenty of space for six people.
Dear Chris,
Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry that your cruise was affected by the heavy rain. We value your feedback and we hope to welcome you on board to explore another region again soon.

Information was great and accurate and communication was easy The boat was old and tired but well designed for 3 couples. Minor problems included leaking windows and sticking doors. We felt the cushions should be a standard inclusion and not an optional extra. An extension cord would have been useful when moorings were full and we had to moor on bank and couldn't reach the electric plug in. Fortunately we were lent one from a neighbouring boat. More protection for the driver from the sun and rain would have been useful .
Thank you for your feedback. We're so glad that you had a great holiday and we look forward to welcoming you back on board another cruise soon.

There were a number of issues with the boat we hired, and with the service at our departure point. We fed this back to our final destination. In summary, the number of faults with the boat (including not being able to close cabin doors, not being able to open the main hatch in the boat) along with the policy of charging for (usually) standard items as "extras", when the cost was already high, left us less than impressed with the company. The boat was nicely laid out (although the two smaller cabins were very cramped, and two of the bunks extremely difficult to sleep in). Unfortunately there was considerable wear and tear, to the point we couldn't close the curtains, or one of the doors or open the main hatch. Also the steering started leaking and we had to stay in Agens overnight waiting for someone to call us back.

Itinerary was too long for the time allocation: Port Cassafiere to Catelnaudary in 6 days thereby not allowing relaxed cruising. Starter pack is a bad joke with inferior products of no interest. WiFi is a rip-off which hardly functioned. Hot water practically not available on board. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
