Magnifique's key features

Magnifique Interior & saloon

  • Wood-effect flooring, wood-tone cabinets and finishes, and plush upholstery create an ambiance of understated elegance. The large picture windows through let in abundant natural light, particularly in the grand saloon.
  • The saloon is well suited for larger parties, featuring a lavish U-shaped settee and a large dining table that converts to a comfortable bed for two.
  • A music system includes a radio/CD player with MP3/USB connectivity. The sundeck is wired for sound. Each boat also has a flat-screen TV/DVD player (satellite TV is available on some models).
  • An inside steering station has good visibility.
  • Side access to the decks makes line handling easy.
  • The huge kitchen/galley features black granite-effect counters, stainless-steel sink, large gas stove and oven, two spacious electric refrigerators, and plenty of cabinet space for provisions.
  • Kitchen equipment and utensils were recently upgraded.

Magnifique Cabins & bathrooms

  • In the rear section of the boat, you’ll find two comfortable cabins with two single beds that convert to double beds. In each is an en-suite bathroom with shower, new electric-flush toilet, and sink.
  • Two luxury staterooms forward have comfortable double beds. These cabins share the boat’s third bathroom, which is equipped with a shower, new electric-flush toilet, and sink.
  • Plentiful closets and other storage make the sleeping cabins free of clutter.
  • Cabin fans in all areas are welcome in hot weather.
Magnifique Sundeck

  • Swimmers will love the full-width swim platform in the stern. The platform also makes it easy getting on and off the boat.
  • The huge sundeck features a large table for alfresco dining and padded seats for comfort.
  • The second steering station has superior visibility.
  • The onboard electrical system runs on 12-volt DC power and 220-volt shore power.
Air cooling and air conditioning

When the temperatures soar, our cabin air cooling system can help make your night’s sleep a little more comfortable. Air cooling uses canal/river water to produce cool air which is blown out through vents.

 

Please note: This is not the same as air-conditioning which can achieve lower temperatures and has a thermostatic control. Performance significantly reduces if canal/river temperature is too high.

From arrival to end the team at Le Boat, Italy were amazing. They did everything they could to assist us. We were a family of 7 who hired the Magnifique for a week. On arrival arranging for a local taxi to take us to the supermarket, providing us with all the must know information, calling us to make sure we all OK and then arranging our taxi back to the airport. It was one of the best ways to see Venice and its surrounding islands. Fabulous holiday that we all enjoyed from a family ranging in age from age 8 to 80. Perfect size for a family of 7.

The overall experience was excellent. Boat handover and initial training was great. Did have a problem with the heating but it had just had a new heating motor fitted and was problematic. Would love to do again in warmer weather. Great boat, very clean and well equiped, apart from the heating.

We felt the on water, hands on boat orientation was excellent. We felt we knew the extent of the boat’s maneuverability and capabilities. There were several issues with the boat that we didn’t discover before we left. There were lights out in the shared shower. That meant that 4 people could not shower when it was dark out, very limiting and not convenient. Two cabins had water leaks onto the beds, forward and starboard aft. Both required use of kitchen pots to catch water when it rained, 3 nights! The aft cabin mattress was so wet those two people had to sleep together in the single bed, way too small for two. Although they tried to make the best of it, it was clear they were tired and not well rested. The forward cabin wetness was on a corner and more easily worked around. We have chartered from LeBoat twice before and never had issues like this before. One of the 4 rented bikes kept having chain slippage issues. The agent at Castelsarrasin refunded our account for one rental, which was the right thing to do. We explained our concerns to the check out person who said they would check into the water leaks immediately, and before the boat went out again. Great space, layout worked well for the 8 of us.

Did cruise from Migennes to Tannay in mid September 2019. Le Boat delivered in all respects - a well appointed boat, good instruction and friendly and helpful service. They also offered support on the way, should we have needed it, but it wasn't necessary. The boat didn't miss a beat and we were delighted with it. Well done! As a holiday a week on French canals with LeBoat is very hard to beat. Golden rule is to always get a boat bigger than you think you'll need, preferably with a bathroom for each couple.
